Microcalcification
Microcalcifications in breast imaging are tiny white specks of calcium salts. Microcalcifications in clusters, seen on a mammogram, can be the only sign of ductal carcinoma in situ or early invasive cancer, or they can be associated with benign breast changes.

Micron
Same as micrometer (µm), one millionth of a meter.

Milliampere
(mA): 10-3 ampere. In radiography, the current flow from the cathode to the anode in the x-ray tube is measured in milliampere. This current regulates the radiation intensity emitted by the x-ray tube.
