The France-based Guerbet Group is highly specialized in contrast media for medical imaging. Its strategic goal is to be a key player in this market. Guerbet Group produces products for x-ray imaging, MRI, ultrasound imaging and imaging through radioactive tracers.

(IVP) An intravenous pyelogram is a radiographic study of the kidney, ureters, and bladder. After the injection or infusion of iodinated contrast materials into the vein, the contrast medium is excreted by the kidneys. Due to the higher density of the dye, contrast filled areas appear white on x-ray images.
IVPs are used to detect tumors, abnormalities, kidney stones, or any obstructions, and to assess renal blood flow. A pyelogram may also be performed with contrast media injection directly through a ureteral or nephrostomy catheter or percutaneously.

The lateromedial view of a mammogram is performed with a 90° angulated x-ray beam directed from the lateral to the medial breast. For a lateromedial oblique view, the x-ray beam is directed from the lower-outer to the upper-inner part of the breast (the exact reverse of the mediolateral oblique view). These views improve the visualization of medial breast tissue (also called true reverse oblique).
