Technologist Career
I'm interested in medical imaging, but not sure if a career as a sonographer or radiographer fits my interests most. Are there any risks from radiation when I get a radiologic technologist? How much is the common radiation dose during work?

Radiographers work in trauma, operating room, critical care, angiography, fluoroscopy, CT scanning, MRI and other areas.
Options for career advancements are for example ARRT certification in mammography, CR, MRI, and angiography or additional education in the areas of ultrasound and nuclear medicine.

Depending on the type of work, no radiation will be received. In all areas of radiographic work, personal dosimeters record the received dose. Legal regulations as dose limits ensure safe radiation exposure.
